What is the procedure if I want to make up previous service time?

First, contact the personnel department where you previously worked. You must request the following information:
1. Salary earned by calendar year. (W2’S not acceptable)
2. Hourly rate of pay.
3. Occupation.
4. If a school employee, contract letters for each year being considered.
5. How many hours per week are considered full time for the position.
Mail all documents to the Retirement System for consideration. Allow 30 days to hear back from us following receipt of your request. Interest charged for makeups and certain other service purchases will increase if the employee does not make the payment within the first year of membership or within one year from 4/2/12.
