Advisory Council

The Worcester Regional Retirement System Advisory Council is established by G.L.c. 34B § 19 (g).It consists of all treasurers, elected or appointed, of each town, unit, or district belonging to the Worcester Regional Retirement System.

The Advisory Council elects one of its members to serve as a member of the Retirement Board.The Advisory Council also serves as the Election Board and supervises the election of the two elected members of the Board. The Advisory Council certifies the annual operating budget for the system, and serves as the “legislative Body” for local acceptance acts of the State Legislature.
